Cathedral of St. Joseph

It was just a short visit to the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford but it gave me the opportunity to take a few photos of this impressive church. Completed in 1962, it stands as the mother church for the Archdiocese of Hartford. Designed by renowned architect Eggers & Higgins, the cathedral boasts a striking Byzantine-style structure adorned with intricate mosaics and stained glass windows. Its interior is a vision of beauty, featuring a stunning marble altar and exquisite artwork. With a seating capacity of over 2,000 people, it serves as a spiritual hub for both local parishioners and visitors alike. The Cathedral of St. Joseph is not only a place of worship, but also an architectural marvel that showcases the city's rich heritage.
