Cat is one amazing woman as anyone who has ever met her probably knows. She is full of energy and doing more in her days than I could ever even hope to accomplish. So of course this organized and efficient woman would have booked her vendors almost two years out! This gave me lots of opportunities to connect with her a little at a time and really get a feel for how much I would enjoy not only photographing her wedding but being there to celebrate with her and Andrew. Needless to say I was beyond excited to to finally meet her and her amazing husband (who is equally amazing by the way) in person.
The festivities were held at the Olowalu Plantation House, which sits nestled on one of Maui's West side beaches, we love it here because of the stunning views, the old time feel and the relaxed atmosphere.
Just look at Andrews face when he sees his amazing bride for the first time!! This is why I love first looks, these moments are just beautiful and priceless and I love the intimacy of all that accompanies them.
With a stunning view of Maui's tropical waters and listless palm trees as their backdrop, Cat and Andrew vowed to love and care for each other. Everything was perfect from Cats beautiful flowers by Valerie Spalding Floral Design and the beautiful ceremony given by Valentine “Tino” Rosete to the sweet island melodies being created by the ever so talented Barefoot Minded.
As with every great Maui Destination Wedding a good time was to follow! A big Mahalo to Tina and Susan at Food For The Soul Catering and Event Planning for making everything not only beautiful and delicious (like really really delicious) but for creating a fun and relaxed environment. The whole thing was rather like out of a move, colorful tropical drinks, waiters carrying trays of delicious food, people playing games and enjoying each others company all set to the perfection that is Hawaii.
The newlyweds snuck away for a little evening romance as the day slipped away and prepared themselves for some fun shenanigans at the party to come.
The night was young and these guys had a lot of fun to get into. Emotional speeches, a pretty epic garter toss, and an adorable 2 year old getting down on the dance floor! Another big Mahalo to DJ Del Sol, Maui Wedding DJ for entertaining us!
